Future Students

Considering attending UB's School of Public Health and Health Professions?

Seven first-year students open up about what made UB the right choice for them--from the academics, to the activities, to the smiling faces around campus.

Why the School of Public Health and Health Professions is the Right Choice for You

At SPHHP, we foster an environment in which students, faculty and alumni can work together to address emerging health needs with innovative solutions.

  • Our students have access to several pathways to obtain their degrees in highly sought-after fields including exercise science, occupational therapy, physical therapy, public health and statistics.
  • Our students have world-class research experiences.
  • Our students form life-long relationships with fellow students and faculty members that will benefit them for years to come.
Pursuing a Physical Therapy Degree?

If you are interested in pursuing physical therapy as your degree, please note that it is not an undergraduate degree program. You must designate the Exercise Science program on your undergraduate application and begin in that program.

How to Apply

Future First-year and Transfer Students

The School of Public Health and Health Professions does not undertake a departmental review of applicants to our undergraduate programs initially. If you are admitted to UB and indicated a School of Public Health and Health Professions major, you can take each program's respective pre-requisite coursework.

Please attempt to determine course equivalencies using the TAURUS website. If your institution is not listed in TAURUS or you have further questions about equivalencies, please email sphhp-oasa@buffalo.edu, and an academic advisor will assist you. Please include unofficial transcripts where possible to speed up your request.
