Project name: Effects of Exercise Versus Sedentary Conditions on Peripheral Biomarkers

Project goals: Our lab’s previous research has shown how prescribed exercise can have important and therapeutic effects on the brain. These benefits have also been shown in terms of reducing or blocking behaviors associated with substance use disorder.

The present study will seek to set up a combined exercise and educational program that could be utilized to assess mood, cognitive performance and reward craving.

Project tasks: Students will assist with researching exercise regimens and questionnaires for measuring mood, cognitive performance and reward craving.

Time commitment: 12-16 hours per week
