Project name: HIV Prevention and Health Equity among African Immigrants and Refugees

Project goals: This project aims to explore and address the unique challenges faced by African immigrants and refugees in the U.S. in accessing HIV prevention and treatment. It will focus on identifying structural, social, and cultural factors that influence health behaviors, examining how stigma affects HIV-related outcomes, and informing the development of tailored interventions to improve health equity and access to care in these communities

Project tasks: 1. Conduct literature reviews on HIV prevention and stigma in African immigrant and refugee populations. 2. Assist with qualitative coding and quantitative data analysis. 3. Transcribe interviews with attention to detail and confidentiality. 4. Participate in team meetings to discuss findings and contribute to intervention strategies.
