Project name: Smoking Cessation and QuitLine Knowledge in Community Settings

Project goals: This study aims to assess tobacco use, smoking cessation interest, and knowledge of Quitline resources among people experiencing socio-economic disadvantage who utilize community resources (e.g., food pantries). Our main goals are to a) determine if a brief informational intervention impacts Quitline knowledge and smoking behavior and b) assess whether different motivational information about smoking cessation affect smoking behavior and quit attempts.

Project tasks: Students on this project may engage in tasks such as participant recruitment and data collection, working with data, conducting literature reviews and other related tasks.

Duration of research experience: Summer, Fall

Time commitment: 6 to 9 hours

Will this be in person or remote: Mostly in-person (community and lab), with possibility of occasional remote work
