Abstract: While the rate of breast cancer in Puerto Rico is lower than in the rest of the U.S., breast cancer incidence is increasing at a higher rate. The grant provided funds for developing infrastructure and interviewing for a case-control study of breast cancer in Puerto Rico, examining diet, physical activity, genetic factors and early life exposure in relation to risk.
