Jennifer conducts assistive technology evaluation and instructional services for individuals with disabilities, under a range of sponsored programs, enabling them to participate in vocational settings and attain their goals.
Jennifer provides direct assistive technology evaluation and instructional services to clients referred by and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR), the New York State Commission for the Blind (NYSCB) and Adult Careers, as well as school districts and individuals through private pay funding. She also assists with the NYS Technology-Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities (TRAID) Program. She provides presentations and demonstrations of assistive technology within the community and online. Jennifer also works with college students who have disabilities through the Accessibility Resources office in Capen Hall at UB.
Jennifer has a BS in environmental and forest biology & science education from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. She also holds an AS degree in Individual Studies from SUNY Morrisville. She was a high school biology and earth science teacher for two local districts for a decade. She brings two decades of experience supporting individuals with disabilities through the implementation of assistive technology, day habilitation services and job coaching from her previous positions with a local human services agency prior to her employment at UB.
