Heather Bieber, MPH, MCHES, ACSM-AP is the undergraduate program director for the Exercise Science program. She oversees the undergraduate academic program, including curriculum review, program assessment, and policies and procedures. Bieber also teaches the following courses:
Previously, Bieber worked with Cigna as a health advocate manager, providing oversight to a team of onsite health advocates throughout the eastern United States. She also worked as the health promotion coordinator at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla., and as the wellness coordinator for Lee County Government in Fort Myers, Fla. Bieber received her master's degree in public health from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. During this time, she interned at the CDC in the Division of Adolescent and School Health and worked with Emory researchers in the Center for Health Outcomes and Quality. Her master's thesis was on the evaluation of a health literacy curriculum to improve patient-physician communication. Prior to her experience in public health and worksite wellness, Bieber was a certified ACSM health fitness instructor and worked in the fitness industry as a group exercise instructor, fitness program director and personal trainer.
