At UB Veggie Van, our mission is simple yet impactful--to promote nutrition security among students, staff, and faculty. We believe that everyone deserves access to fresh, wholesome food, and we're dedicated to creating positive change through our mobile market.

Why Nutrition Security Matters

Nutrition Security is not only essential for physical health but also plays a crucial role in academic success and overall well-being. UB Veggie Van is here to empower you with fresh, locally produced fruits and vegetables and resources for healthy eating.

Our Vision for Change

UB Veggie Van envisions a campus where everyone has access to high-quality fruits and vegetables and where every individual has the opportunity to thrive. Through initiatives, partnerships, and student-driven efforts, we're working towards a future where nutrition security is a reality for all.

Farm Stand vs. Veggie Van--What's the Difference?

The UB Farm Stand and the UB Veggie Van share a common goal of combating food insecurity and increasing food access on campus; however, they operate in different ways. The UB Farm Stand offers up to $40 worth of free groceries including vegetables, protein, fruit and pantry options. The UB Veggie Van focuses on providing produce at budget-friendly prices. Additionally, the UB Farm Stand exclusively sources its products from New York State farms, whereas the UB Veggie Van prioritizes local sourcing it is not always possible with foods like avocados.

Market Updates

Last UB Farm Stand is June 9th

UB Farm Stand will hold its final market on June 9th. Over the past ten months, we have organized nearly 70 markets, serving approximately 300 students at each event. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated volunteers, whose commitment to the mission of UB Farm Stand has made each market possible.

If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to continue supporting local New York State farms by visiting UB Veggie Van! They offer a 20% student discount and operate on both North and South Campus. Additionally, they accept SNAP benefits and Double Up Food Bucks

About Us

UB Farm Stand is a grant-funded program that is not paid for by the university or by tuition and fees.

The UB Farm Stand distributes New York State-sourced food and produce on campus at no cost. Powered by UB Veggie Van and Blue Table, this initiative is vital to combat food insecurity, ensuring all campus community members can access nutritious options. Our markets welcome all students, faculty, and staff.
