Marisa is an Occupational Therapist driven by a deep commitment to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities. She collaborates with clients to assess and implement assistive technology that fosters independence and well-being. 

Marisa delivers assistive technology assessment and training services to individuals referred by the New York State Commission for the Blind (NYSCB), Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR), school districts, and private funding. Additionally, she enables students with disabilities to utilize AT through Accessibility Resources at UB. Marisa also provides demonstrations and education on assistive technology for the Western New York community through the NYS Technology Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities (TRAID) program.  

Marisa is an alumnus of D’Youville University with a MS in Occupational Therapy and holds a BS in Sociology. Prior to her work at CAT, Marisa served in the human service field for 20 years, with her most recent work as the lead of a program centered on aging in place, nursing facility transitions, home modifications, assistive technology, and community health services. She maintains interest and insight in the arena of universal home design as well as assistive and smart technology for continued independence.
