Faculty apply statistical techniques to scientific research in health-related fields.
Projects: Dr. Yu has made recognizable contributions to statistical methodology developments in nonparametric statistical inference areas, especially development of empirical-likelihood (EL) methodology addressing data analytical problems in health studies. Most of her work has addressed practical problems in health-related data issues, e.g., incomplete data, biomarker evaluation, and diagnostics. In addition, she has worked on other various clinical and data analytical issues including group-sequential design development, behavioral economic demand curve, and survey-data analytical tool development.
