The School of Public Health and Health Professions is comprised of five departments and three multi-disciplinary research centers with more than 200 faculty and staff members. These individuals work on approximately 425 computers (Dell or Apple desktops/laptops), 195 printers and a dozen UNIX/Linux workstations.
Most computers run the Microsoft Windows™ operating system while the Apple systems run OSX and UNIX workstations run Ubuntu. There is one public computer lab (55 PCs) and two graduate computer labs (in the departments of Biostatistics and Epidemiology and Environmental Health). The school uses five servers (two physical and three virtual) to manage student, faculty and staff accounts, as well as data, email, web, print, phone systems and research projects.
