Assistantships

Assistantships are available on a competitive basis and based upon availability of funds. They also complement your learning experiences by providing the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge you have gained.

The department offers a limited number of graduate assistantships which generally provide a stipend and cover tuition. Assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis, based upon availability of funds. Graduate assistants are expected to work 20 hours a week. You should indicate your interest in financial aid in the appropriate section of the application (the Graduate Assistantship Statement). You will also be encouraged to pursue external funding for your research efforts.
