School-based occupational therapy: autism, sensory processing, and advocacy efforts for school-based OT and leadership; Occupational therapy education: student-centered learning and the student learning experience
Kristen Morgus, MS, OTR/L, EdD, has joined the Department of Rehabilitation Science as a clinical assistant professor in the Occupational Therapy program. Kristen previously served as an occupational therapist at elementary and high school levels in 6:1:1 self-contained regents track and NYSAA track classrooms with a variety of severe educational, motorical, neurological, sensory processing and behavioral needs.
Kristen's research interests include school-based occupational therapy including autism, sensory processing and advocacy efforts for school-based OT and leadership, as well as occupational therapy education focused on student-centered learning and the student learning experience.
Kristen received her Master of Science in occupational therapy from Duquesne University and her EdD in learning and teaching in social contexts from UB.
