Nathaniel Woodard, PhD, MPH, is a public health researcher working to promote health equity, particularly in the context of cancer-related outcomes. Woodard's research aims to understand the complex drivers of these disparities and address them through evidence-based interventions. The primary focus of his research agenda is to employ community-based methods to design, implement, and evaluate sustainable interventions to improve quality of life, improve treatment outcomes, and reduce cancer health disparities for those touched by cancer, with a particular emphasis on Black and African American populations. 

Before joining UB, Woodard was a post doctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, Cancer Care Quality Training Program.
