Research Centers

Each department within the School of Public Health and Health Professions has its own discipline-specific research facilities as well as access to shared resources.

Veggie Van Training Center

Under the direction of principal investigator Lucia Leone, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Community Health and Health Behavior, the Veggie Van Training Center provides training, technical assistance, reporting and evaluation for organizations and professionals working to launch or expand a mobile market or other food access programs. The center is run by the Community Health Intervention Lab (CHIL) within the Department of Community Health and Health Behavior. CHIL's mission is to create, test, and disseminate sustainable interventions that reduce disparities and increase access to healthy food and opportunities for people to be physically active. We work with a coalition of partners to support this work.
