Abstract: This project studied associations between vitamin D and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) in the Carotenoids in Age-Related Eye Disease Study (CAREDS), an ancillary study of the Women's Health Initiative (WHI-OS). Additionally, this grant investigated associations between dietary patterns and both AMD and nuclear cataract in CAREDS.
