When looking back at your education at UB, do you remember receiving your white coat? Retired UB clinical faculty member and beloved friend, Alfred Caffiero, introduced this important annual tradition to our program in 2006.
Each year, Al attended the White Coat Ceremony with pride because he knew it marks a pivotal transition for our first year students as they begin their clinical experience. Donning the white coat signifies the beginning of their professional journey.
We would like to invite you as a proud UB DPT alumnus to help us celebrate this momentous time in a student's professional journey by sponsoring a student through the White Coat Fund. With a gift of $100, you will have the opportunity to provide a student with their new white coat and share a message of wisdom and advice. As our students receive their coat, they will know that you made this possible and that you are standing behind them and are proud of their chosen profession. In addition, it is our hope that by supporting a student, you are encouraging and inspiring the next generation of physical therapists to not only give their best, but to pay it forward!
As we continue Al Caffiero’s vision of the DPT White Coat Ceremony, we hope you will be a part of this special time. Thank you for being a part of our tradition and giving a warm welcome to the newest members of our DPT family.
Give to the Physical Therapy White Coat Fund.
