Abstract: This objectives of this project was to measure the secondary attack ratio of influenza among household contacts, to assess the impact of an intensive handwashing promotion on the secondary attack ratio, and to assess risk factors for secondary transmission among household contacts of index case-patients with influenza in rural Bangladesh.
