Faculty and students have partnerships with African organizations and universities to work on a number of projects, including reducing child mortality rates caused by malaria in Uganda and evaluating handwashing promotion programs in Zambia.
Within Asia, faculty and students work with partners to examine the burden of lung cancer in China, screen for cervical cancer in India, and improve the health of community members across Asia.
Within North America, the Office of Global Health Initiatives partners with: researchers studying the health effects herbicides have had on Vietnam veterans; faculty studying breast cancer rates in Puerto Rico; and institutions working with the Navajo Nation in New Mexico to improve elder care.
