Honoring the first dean of the School of Health Related Professions, the J. Warren Perry Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate or graduate students in the Department of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences or Rehabilitation Science.
Competition for the scholarship is announced in April of each year. Applications for the Perry Scholarship are available through the Office of the Dean or your academic department, and are submitted to the Office of the Dean.
In addition to the application, student must also, on separate sheets of paper, provide a brief biographical sketch describing how they became interested in the health care field as well as provide their professional goals and achievements. They may also wish to describe their extracurricular activities, hobbies or any paid or volunteer research or work experience that they have. Responses must be limited to three (or fewer) double‐spaced typewritten pages.
Applications for the Perry Scholarship are available through the Office of the Dean or the departmental offices and are to be submitted to the Office of the Dean. Decisions are made by a committee appointed by the dean.
Students previously named as Perry Scholars are not eligible.
Applications are available and due in the Spring semester.
