Health on Wheels relies on the passion and expertise of UB students, faculty and staff to help bring services to the community.
A variety of involvement opportunities are available for physical therapy, pharmacy, social work, medical, dental and athletic training students to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the health and well-being of others. Whether you're interested in interning or collaborating on projects, there are many ways to make a meaningful impact. All UB students, staff and faculty are welcome.
The mobile health unit welcomes UB students from all fields to assist with a variety of tasks on-site, such as greeting patrons, helping with registration, providing health education and supporting mobile health unit operations and outreach efforts.
Student tasks will be site and profession specific and will support health education, screenings and navigation. All students will complete a training program prior to work in the community and tasks will be assigned by supervising professionals.
How can I sign up to get involved? Please fill out the registration form.
Faculty and staff can collaborate with the mobile health unit to offer specialized services, such as hosting wellness events, providing health education or supporting health navigation.
