Kim Krytus, director of MPH initiatives, believes that this new program will help meet the growing demand in the field of public health.
“Public health concepts are prominent in every part of the health system, and in our daily lives,” says Krytus.
“From health care policies to disease prevention to food and water safety, understanding public health concepts can be a great benefit to working professionals or students enrolled in clinical programs who can’t take two years off to complete a master of public health degree. Our program provides a strong knowledge foundation and builds skills needed by today’s employers through online or in-person coursework. Most courses can also transfer into an MPH,” Krytus adds.
Students interested in the advanced certificate program are encouraged to contact the School of Public Health and Health Professions Office for Academic and Student Affairs at 716-829-5000 or sphhp-oasa@buffalo.edu.
