The epidemiology concentration under the Public Health MPH program prepares students to study the frequency, distribution and determinants of human diseases and injuries in populations. Students gain foundational public health knowledge and competencies, as well as epidemiological, statistical, research and survey methods to help discover the determinants—including biological, behavioral, social and organizational—of diseases and injuries. Students train with faculty who are experts in their field at New York’s premier, research-intensive university dedicated to academic excellence and making a positive impact on the world.
