Applicants for the MSAT must apply through ATCAS. Applications open on July 1, 2025, and admission is rolling.
The ATCAS priority deadline is Dec. 31, 2025. All materials must be submitted by April 1, 2026. Applicants will also be required to submit a $50 non-refundable fee to the University at Buffalo for their ATCAS application to be considered, in addition to the ATCAS fee. Summer classes for 2026 are scheduled to begin on Tues., May 26, 2026. You may qualify for an application fee waiver from ATCAS, the University or both. This application is for current University at Buffalo students who are applying for the combined 3+2 BS in Exercise Science/MS in Athletic Training program. We do not require lab sections for chemistry, physics, biology or anatomy and physiology.

After the formal interview, students accepted for admissions will receive a letter of acceptance from the Athletic Training program director. This letter will contain more information about next steps to confirm your acceptance.
