Career Outlook

There is a robust job market for professionals with an exercise science background, particularly driven by increases in the aging population and the prevalence of obesity and lifestyle-related diseases. Professionals in the field work with healthy clients or athletes (non-clinical) and patients with chronic diseases or other medical conditions (clinical).

Alumni of Exercise Science are employed as cardiopulmonary rehabilitation specialists, exercise physiologists, health coaches, strength and conditioning coaches, medical doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists, and athletic trainers. Some of these professions require additional education beyond the 4-year bachelor's degree. You will find our alumni working in various settings, including sports performance facilities, fitness and wellness centers, educational institutions, and health care organizations.
