Through our research, we will be able to better understand how exercise and nutrition influence health, disease prevention and individual function and performance.

  • Faculty Research Interests
    Our faculty's diverse research interests range from nutrition and oxidation stress to hormonal regulation of metabolism to the risk factors that precipitate degenerative joint disease.
  • Current Research
    Our research includes investigating how nutrients and physical activity interact with cancer and cardiovascular and musculoskeletal diseases, and the health consequences of nutritional disorders and obesity.

    Each department within the School of Public Health and Health Professions has its own discipline-specific research facilities as well as access to shared resources.
