Biography

Teresa Jacobson Kimberley, PT, PhD, FAPTA is Professor and Director of the Brain Recovery Lab in the Department of Physical Therapy at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. She also serves as a Research Associate in the Department of Neurology at Mass General Hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, and Harvard Medical School. Her lab’s focus is on understanding the pathophysiology of motor impairment and developing novel rehabilitation interventions for neurologic disorders. She has over 15 years of experience leading clinical trials investigating novel neuromodulatory interventions in people with neurologic diseases. Notably, she helped lead the pivotal VNS-REHAB clinical trial that led to the first FDA-approved neuromodulation rehabilitation intervention in people with stroke.
