Combined Degree Programs

Bachelor of Public Health (BS) and Master of Public Health (MPH)

We offer a 3+2 combined BS/MPH in public health where you can earn both degrees in five years.

    Gain an advanced understanding of population-level approaches to protecting and improving health, and prepare for a health-related career.

Master of Public Health and Professional Degrees

We offer combined degree programs—MPH/MD, MPH/MSW and MPH/PharmD—where you can earn two degrees in less time and fewer credits than each degree individually. These programs allow you to integrate a prevention- and population-focused approach to health with your respective medical, social work or pharmacy education. Each degree will be conferred separately upon completion of program requirements.

  • MPH/JD Program
    9/23/24
    Through this four-year program, you will earn an MPH degree in health services administration and a Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • MPH/MBA Program
    7/29/24
    Through this three-year program, you will earn an MPH degree in health services administration and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
  • MPH/MSW Program
    1/24/23
    Through this three-year program, you will earn an MPH degree with a concentration in health services administration and a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.
  • MPH/MD Program
    1/24/23
    Through this five-year program, you will earn an MPH degree with a concentration in health services administration and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
  • MPH/MUP Program
    1/24/23
    Through this three-year program, you will earn an MPH degree and a Master of Urban Planning (MUP) degree.
  • MPH/PharmD Program
    9/27/24
    Through this five-year program, you will earn an MPH degree with a concentration in health services administration and a doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree.

Continuous Enrollment

Students enrolled in all combined degree programs except the MSW/MPH and JD/MPH must maintain continuous registration in the School of Public Health and Health Professions. If you are taking courses in the non-MPH program during a semester, you can request a leave of absence from the MPH program.

Students enrolled in MSW/MPH or JD/MPH programs do not need to complete a leave of absence request.
