Our priority is to provide you with the highest quality academic experience, and this includes a range of activities and offerings both in and out of the classroom. To take full advantage of these opportunities and to do well with the rigorous curriculum, it may be challenging to balance a part-time job. However, many students do work part-time so it is possible. What works for someone else may not work for you. Know your limits and manage your time wisely.
The 12-credit internship is completed in the spring semester of your senior year. We have more than 200 affiliated sites across the country (including Arizona, Colorado and California). You’ll work with our clinical education director to secure a site in the fall semester of your senior year but it is never too early to begin screening sites. You may choose an internship with a non-affiliated site, but we will need to process an affiliation agreement first. This can take up to several months and should be started in the spring or summer preceding your senior year.
