Envision Mentoring Program

The School of Public Health and Health Professions (SPHHP) Envision Mentoring Program offers undergraduate students of color an opportunity to engage with UB alumni of color throughout their undergraduate journey.

Program Benefits

The relationship that mentors and mentees develop during the Envision Mentoring Program offers long-lasting benefits to both.

  • For mentees, the program is designed to have a key impact on future career choices.
  • For mentors, the opportunity to help the next generation of potential leaders can be rewarding and impactful, offering the chance to “pay it forward” as alumni.

Students develop the following skills:

  • Resume and interview tips
  • Graduate school preparation
  • Networking
  • Critical thinking
  • Professional development

Mentors can pass on experience-based knowledge:

  • Teaching students what mentors wish they had known during their undergraduate studies
  • Networking opportunities with other public health alumni
  • Learning students' thoughts on the current educational and public health landscape
