Public health is a growing and dynamic field addressing the world’s most pressing health problems. It is a combination of the science and art of advancing health for individuals, families, communities, and populations through education, promotion of healthy behaviors, and research for disease and injury prevention.

The BS/MS in public health will provide you with advanced training in public health research methods, principles of public health intervention and experience conducting research in a focus area of your choice.

Career Opportunities

The Bachelor’s of Science (BS) in Public Health provides foundations for a future career in the fields of health care or public health. Many entry-level jobs working at health care organizations or public health agencies can be obtained with this degree. Some students seek to fast-track immediately into graduate training in public health and this program offers this opportunity.

The Master of Science (MS) in Community Health and Health Behavior provides additional knowledge and skills sought by employers in the fields of health care and public health, and is ideal for students interested in careers in academic, governmental, or private sector research or who are interested in pursuing their academic training further by completing a PhD program. It is also an excellent degree for health care professionals wishing to integrate research into their practice.
