Christine B. Ambrosone, PhD, presented the 18th Annual Saxon Graham Lectureship on Fri., Apr. 18.
Christine Ambrosone, PhD, is distinguished professor of oncology and chair of the Department of Cancer Prevention and Control at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center; and associate director for population sciences and director of the Roswell Park Biorepository and Laboratory Services Shared Resource.
Ambrosone's research uses molecular epidemiology to elucidate cancer etiology and outcomes, with a particular focus on understanding why poor-prognosis breast cancer subtypes are more prevalent in Black women. She has been continuously funded by the National Cancer Institute, has held multiple R01s, and was contact PI of a multi-PI program project grant. Ambrosone was a member of NCI's board of scientific advisors to the NCI director and is on a number of national advisory boards, including those for NCI cancer centers. She has published more than 420 publications in peer-reviewed journals, with an h-index of 100.
