Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the application process take?

Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis. Once accepted, you must reply to your acceptance e-mail and indicate whether or not you are accepting the position in the minor. Shortly thereafter, you will be officially accepted into the minor and will be updated in HUB (UB’s student information and registration system). Please allow for time for this process when planning for class registration.

Do I need to be in an undergraduate program to enroll in the health and wellness minor?

Yes, you need to be a matriculated undergraduate student in a major to apply
and be accepted to the minor.

Can I take courses in the minor without being accepted to the minor?

Yes, but there are limited seats in the courses open to all students. Most seats
are saved for students in the minor. We recommend that you apply and wait for acceptance to the minor before beginning the coursework.
