Apply online to the PhD program. The online application is fast, easy and secure. A $50 non-refundable fee is required.
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 hours of undergraduate work.
GRE scores; however, there is no minimum score. The results are used to evaluate your potential.
Minimum TOEFL scores of 213 for computer-based tests; 550 for the paper test and 79 for the IBT test (Reading: 19, Listening: 15, Speaking: 19, Writing: 19). As an alternative to TOEFL, UB also accepts Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) scores to satisfy the English language proficiency requirement. A minimum PTE Academic score of 55 is required, with no individual section sub-score below 50. PTE Academic scores must be dated within two years of the time the application is reviewed by UB’s Office of International Admissions.
