The Graduate Student Association (GSA) is your representative organization as a graduate student at the University at Buffalo. The GSA is responsible for spending the Mandatory Student Fee and represents your best interests on numerous university committees and to the university administration. Most departments have a club.
As a member of the Exercise and Nutrition Sciences GSA club, you’ll enjoy many benefits, including:
Take an active role in the GSA club by running for one of four elected officer positions: president, vice president, treasurer or secretary.
You may also serve as a senator to represent the Department of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at regular university-level GSA meetings (held the first Wednesday of each month). As a senator, you would vote in the department’s interest and share news and opportunities discussed at the GSA meeting. Alternate senators are also appointed.
Contact, Gaspar Farkas, PhD, GSA club faculty representative, at farkas@buffalo.edu for additional details.
Refer to the University GSA website for more information about GSA-sponsored events, small grants for thesis and dissertation work and conference travel funding forms.
