Public health is a growing and dynamic field addressing the world’s most pressing health problems. It is a combination of the science and art of advancing health for individuals, families, communities, and populations through education, promotion of healthy behaviors, and research for disease and injury prevention.
Enhance your skills in epidemiology, data analysis, leadership and teamwork, program design and evaluation, policy development, cultural competence, interprofessional collaborative practice, and systems thinking with a combined BS/MPH degree. Program open to undergraduate students starting with the Public Health BS.

Interested students should meet with an academic advisor two semesters before applying to ensure their eligibility. Advisors approve students before their BS/MPH applications are reviewed by the MPH committee.
You can not apply to the MPH portion of the combined degree unless previously accepted into UB's BS in Public Health. If you are not in the BS in Public Health at UB, apply to the MPH through the standard admissions process.
Apply by July 1. Applications are accepted for fall admissions only.

Criteria for acceptance into the Public Health BS/MPH:
Students applying to the MPH in Biostatistics must also obtain a 3.0 (B or better) in the following math courses: MTH 141, MTH 142, MTH 241 and MTH 309.
