Abstract: In the U.S. 75% of older adults live in their home and 35 million adults are caring for their aging parents and other older adults. TouchStream Solutions LLC is developing an integrated homecare monitoring system based on tablet and mobile technologies that helps older adults stay safe, healthy and socially engaged while remaining in their home for as long as possible by detect problems before they become a crisis. The focus of the project is to develop a custom docking station for a tablet for an integrated homecare monitoring system and test the system in a variety of real-world homecare settings to ensure it is easy to use and provides tangible benefits to the residents and their families.
