We are determining the influence of dehydration and rapid rehydration on brain function.
Wrestlers commonly cut weight to compete in a certain weight class. After a weigh-in, wrestlers have only two hours until a competition. It is unknown how cutting weight, which is primarily water weight, impacts brain function and whether two hours is an adequate amount of time to rehydrate and whether this rehydration restores brain function. We are determining the influence of dehydration and rapid rehydration on brain function.
