Summary

Dr. Rideout’s research program examines how early life in utero and postnatal factors influence metabolic disease risk adulthood. He has specific expertise in how pregnancy conditions such as maternal obesity and dyslipidemia influence fetal development and later-life cardiometabolic disease. Further, with a history of training in nutrition and dietary supplements, his research aims to explore the utility of natural health products to improve metabolic health and the molecular mechanisms through which they work.
