When choosing a career, Majd Jarrar wanted to have a positive influence on the lives of others while also realizing her full potential. She selected occupational therapy, a profession with a growing demand in her native country of Jordan.
To further her OT education, she enrolled in UB’s post-professional MS degree program. “I found in UB a combination of what I was searching for—a program that can meet my academic goals and that can help me to start doing my own research projects,” she said.
Jarrar said she also valued the university’s safe and welcoming environment.
Since starting the program, she enjoyed the flexibility the degree offers. “We can choose the classes and projects that best meet our future goals,” she said.
For her future, Jarrar plans to follow her MS education with a PhD and to then work in academia.
