Nicole Klem is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, certified in New York State, and program director of the Dietetic Internship Program. Klem started teaching in 2011 and assumed her current position at the University at Buffalo in 2018. Nicole oversees the program management with the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics and serves as a site-reviewer for the entity. She currently teaches NTR 301–Dietary Assessment, as well as a variety of courses for the Dietetic Internship. Her work experience includes clinical dietetics, community nutrition, culinary medicine and research in health behavior and food choices. Klem has served on local and state dietetics association boards and was a founding member of the Slow Food chapter in Western N.Y. In 2016 she was awarded Outstanding Dietetics Educator for the Eastern Region on behalf of the Nutrition and Dietetics Educators Practice Group.
