Recognized as one of the top 20 biostatistics programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report, our department is dedicated to providing outstanding academic and practical training opportunities in the context of cutting-edge biological and health science research.
Our academic offerings and research efforts center on understanding individual- and community-level factors that influence health behavior choices and developing ways to encourage positive change. With the goal of making the healthiest choice an easy choice, our department will prepare you to be an agent of change and service in the public health arena.
Offering programs in epidemiology, environmental health and health services administration, our interdisciplinary curriculum draws from medicine, oncology, toxicology, geography, biostatistics, nutrition, computer science, management and law. Our faculty will work closely with you to help create meaningful and personalized academic, research and/or field experiences.
Our department is one of only a few in the country that combines exercise and nutrition sciences in a school of public health. This offers a broad understanding of the human body, including physiological, biomechanical and nutritional factors, and provides unique academic and research opportunities.
Our accredited professional programs in occupational therapy and physical therapy have been recognized as among the best in the country by U.S. News & World Report, while our PhD in rehabilitation science and certificate program in assistive technology offer further opportunities to help people live healthier, more active and independent lives.
